Internal communication

To work as a team, you need to know what is going on around you. Share info, share smaller and bigger decisions, obstacles, victories and everything else. The bigger the team gets the more you have to think through how everything will work tohether, so that the necessary information arrives to everybody who need it. Sharing information is also a powerful motivation for the team - to know what others are doing for the common goal gives you new inspiration and strength to go on.

Possible communication tools for the team:
  • E-mail lists (general list, core team, subteams, a list of every county + one where all the county coordinators are together - to exchange meeting memos, share news, ask help etc)
  • Skype chats (to give-ask advice fast, share thoughts, make fast brainstorming etc)
  • E-mail address to everyone with the domain name of the campaign
  • Meeting memos: always share with everyone!
  • Wikipedia: for sharing and storing meeting memos (most accessible)
  • Newsletter at least once a week to everyone! (about the last developments, future plans)
  • Ftp for sharing files
  • Phones with credit to every volunteer (You will probably benefit from a telecommunications company as a partner)
